Thomas Miller
President and CEO
Tom is an experienced power generation management professional with over 30 years of
experience in delivering excellence in the operations, maintenance, and compliance adherence
of power generation and industrial facilities.
Prior to joining TigerGenCo he held and continues to act as President of Red Oak Power
Holdings, was Vice President and General Manager for Cogentrix Energy Project Management,
Regional Director of Operations for EthosEnergy Group, and Regional General Manager for
NextEra Energy subsidiary NextEra Energy Resources. He began his career at Westinghouse
Electric Corporation which transitioned into Siemens Westinghouse in 1998.
Jeff Corder
Chief Commercial Officer
Jeff is an executive with 30 years of energy industry experience. Mr. Corder’s
experience encompasses nearly every aspect of the power generation space, including M&A, greenfield development, power and gas hedging, finance,
credit management, supply and demand-side planning, engineering, origination, portfolio management and regulatory. He has significant
experience in each region of the US, including bilateral markets and
RTOs/ISOs, with a majority of his time focused on PJM, NYISO, MISO, and
ISONE. Mr. Corder has lead acquisitions and successful greenfield
developments on multiple power, gas and renewable deals totaling more
than $7 Billion in enterprise value.
He has long-standing relationships across the industry spectrum, most
recently working for LS Power, General Electric and Tyr Energy prior to
joining TigerGenCo.
Tyson Yates
Chief Financial Officer
Tyson is an executive with over 25 years of energy industry experience. Mr. Yates’ experience covers many facets of the energy sector including M&A, risk management, project finance, and project development. Mr. Yates has led acquisitions, dispositions, and investment of debt and equity across the energy space with total transactions totaling more than $14 Billion in enterprise value.
Prior to joining TigerGenco, Tyson worked at Soluna Corporation, a renewable data center startup company, in origination and development. Prior to Soluna, he spent 21 years with GE Capital Energy Financial Services in various leadership roles investing across the energy sector and capital structure. Tyson, who is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Michigan, began his career at Deloitte with a focus on financial services and M&A.
Ellen Allman
Director, Asset Management
Ellen is an experienced power generation asset management professional with over 35 years of
experience in delivering excellence in the asset management, financial performance and
development of power generation and industrial facilities.
Prior to joining TigerGenCo, she was Asset Management Director for Macquarie Infrastructure
and Arclight Capital for fossil fuel, co-generation and geothermal, wind and solar power
facilities. After her graduation from Yale Business School she worked for Arco Oil and Gas
Company. She began her career in 1985 at Long Island Lighting Company installing gas mains
after her graduation from Cooper Union Engineering School.
Liam Carroll
Business Analyst
Liam Carroll joined TigerGenCo as a Business Analyst in June 2022. He graduated from the
University of Massachusetts Amherst with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance
with a focus in Alternative Investments and a Minor in Real Estate Finance.
Prior to joining the TigerGenCo team, he interned with Red Oak Power.
Howard Fromer
Director of Regulatory Affairs
Howard has over 40 years of experience working in both the public and private
sectors in the New York energy industry and has previously served as Chairman of
the Board of the Independent Power Producers of New York, as well as Chairman of
the NYISO’s Management Committee.
Prior to joining TigerGenCo, Mr. Fromer was Director of Market Policy for PSEG
overseeing their regulatory activities in New York, and before that was Director of
Government Affairs for Enron Corp. where he focused on bringing competitive
reform to the New York State electric industry. Earlier in his career, Mr. Fromer
served for many years as General Counsel to the New York State Energy Office,
advising the Agency and Governor’s Office on energy legislation, policies and
programs. He also served as Counsel to the New York State Energy Planning
Board. Mr. Fromer began his career as an Assistant Attorney General in the Water
and Air Resources Bureau of the New York State Department of Law. Mr. Fromer
holds a Juris Doctor from the New York University School of Law, and a Bachelor of
Arts from Lehigh University.
Matt Lydon
Vice President, Compliance
Matt has over 20 years of power generation experience in both plant-level and corporate portfolio oversight rolls focused on achieving team successes in a variety of compliance areas from Environmental, Health, and Safety, to FERC, NERC, EIA, and Energy Markets.
Prior to joining TigerGenCo he held positions accountable for development, construction, commissioning, operations and maintenance, divestiture, and acquisition related compliance activities for facilities throughout the country with ProEnergy Services, Cogentrix, Consolidated Asset Management Services, Progress Energy Ventures, and Florida Power. He received a BA in Environmental Studies from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and a MPA with a focus on Environmental Policy and Management from North Carolina State University.
Michael Phenix
Director of Energy Trading & Risk Management
Michael Phenix, Director of Energy Trading and Risk Management has close 35 years of experience in the electric power business. He is the firm’s principal representative addressing plant optimization in the various RTO/wholesale electricity and capacity markets. His experience in the business is from the ground up…from literally shoveling coal at the Brayton Point Power Station in Somerset Massachusetts to more recently working on Morgan Stanley’s North American Power and Gas desk.
Mike graduated in 1987 with Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy and in 1999 with an MBA from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. He holds an active PJM Generation Dispatchers Certificate as well as his stationary plant Operating Engineer’s licenses in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Shawn Picard
Vice President, Engineering
Shawn is a power generation professional with over 12 years of experience as a self-driven,
take-charge manager who brings positive leadership, provides solutions, and assures safe,
cost-efficient operations.
After his graduation from Maine Maritime, Shawn served as Chief Engineer on an offshore
supply vessel and as a Vessel Superintendent for a tug and barge company. In December
2011, Shawn began at Bayonne Energy Center (BEC) as an Operations and Maintenance
Technician (OMT) and subsequently served as Lead OMT, Senior Lead OMT, and Facility
Manager. As the Facility Manager, he led BEC through three sale processes, oversaw the
facility’s expansion, managed regulatory audits, and completed numerous capital upgrades.
Matthew Tripoli
Vice President, Development
Matt has over 15 years of experience across the energy industry. He is responsible for
managing strategic enhancements to TigerGenCo’s operating fleet of projects and for
developing and acquiring new project assets.
Prior to joining TigerGenCo, Matt worked in development, management and engineering roles
for CS Energy, ET Capital, IMG Midstream, PPL, and Chevron. Matt has an MBA from Lehigh
University, a BS in Electrical Engineering from Penn State, and is a licensed Professional
Engineer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
